One of hundreds of species of birds that flies across the North American continent each year, the white-eyed vireo can be heard singing its tune from thickets and shrubs in northern and eastern North America during the spring and summer. Its pale white irises are notable, as are the distinct yellow „spectacles,“ or rings, that surround its eyes.
