Every person resident in Canada by whom or on whose behalf a contract of insurance, other than a contract of reinsurance, is entered into or renewed against a risk ordinarily within Canada at the time the contract is entered into or renewed, with an authorized insurer through a broker or agent outside Canada or placed with an unauthorized insurer, is required to pay the 10% insurance premium tax.

Refund of the Alberta provincial tax on personal and official purchases of fuel

Foreign embassies are exempt from paying tax on fuel purchased in, or brought into, Alberta for their own use. About the Chief of Protocol of Canada

Angela Bogdan was officially appointed Chief of Protocol of Canada on February 4, 2013. As Chief of Protocol, Ms. Bogdan is considered the most senior protocol officer for high-level international visits to Canada and outgoing state, official and working visits, as well as for overall issues relating to the entitlements and special status granted to the foreign diplomatic community in Canada, which includes a number of international organizations.
