Los Seres Sol – Liderazgo del Paz is a non-profit education institution which strives for responsible leadership, constructive transformation and service. It wants to give a general progress on all socio-economic and educative levels to the people of the Dominican Republic as well as to the world in general. On this behalf, the organisation is committed by designing and promoting new processes and projects which aim at the development (in the integgral sense of the word). Liderazgo del Paz has obligated itself to create a social enterprise and to initiate processes, projects and institutions which, for their part, create more transformation and development based on the paradigm of human development.

Biblioteca Dominico-Virtual was created to contribute to the education and formation of students. Its objective is to facilitate the research and competence process. It is a tool for professionals respectively for all those who want to deepen their knowledge, according to the large variety and profundity of themes and branches. Currently (mai 2011), the homepage contains more than 1000 sites about the most important themes in regard to education.

The homepage provides link lists of all educational institutions in the school, higher education, professional training and adult education sector ( also colleges for specific professions) which accept international students. Especially, language schools are listed. Furthermore, there is a link „country resources“ with general information about the country.

The mission of the Ministry of Education (MINERD) is to regulate the Dominican education system according to the education laws and thus guarantee the equal right to quality education for every Dominican. This is possible by means of the formation of liberal, critical and creative Dominicans which are capable of participating and constructing a free, democratic, participative, just and solidary society and which are capable to question this society constructively.

The coalition for a worthy education is an efford for a unity of organisations and activists which want to achieve, with civil and pacifist actions, which match a good part of the LEY GENERAL DE EDUCACION 66-97, that 4% of the PIB of the national budget are allocated for education.
