Ein internationales Team hat bis zu 15.000 Jahre alte Skelette von Einwohnern Anatoliens untersucht. Demnach waren die ersten anatolischen Bauern direkte Nachkommen lokaler Jäger und Sammler. Diese Ergebnisse stützen archäologische Thesen, nach denen Jäger und Sammler in Anatolien die bäuerliche Lebensweise annahmen, indem sie das Know-how aus anderen Gebieten übernahmen und weiterentwickelten – im Gegensatz zu Europa, wo die Landwirtschaft durch eingewanderte anatolische Bauern eingeführt wurde.
Ägypten und Jordanien sowie die Randgebiete von Südanatolien und dem westlichen Iran
Algorithmen stehen im neuen Max Planck Center im Mittelpunkt des Interesses.
