The Max Planck Society and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation have outlined their plans to establish three Max Planck-Humboldt Research Units in Africa. These units will be led by three research group leaders who will be selected from African research institutions. Each group leader will receive funding of 150,000 euros per year from the Max Planck Society for a duration of five years. Einstellung der Ladungsverteilung in ultra-dünnen Schichten mittels gezielter Variation der innere mechanischen Spannungen | Max-Planck-Gesellschaft

Durch Variation der inneren Spannung in LSMO-Schichten wurde die Ladungsverteilung innerhalb der Schichten gezielt verändert. Dadurch konnten die Leitfähigkeit und das magnetische Verhalten der Schichten maßgeschneidert werden.
