Das Büro der Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung in Beirut konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf den Libanon und Syrien. Regionale und lokale Unruhen machen die Arbeit der Stiftung in diesen beiden Ländern schwierig und zwingen unser Büro in Beirut, sich ständig an neue soziale und politische Veränderungen anzupassen. Um zu einem friedlichen und demokratischen Übergang in der syrischen Gesellschaft beizutragen, bietet die FNF Syrern und insbesondere syrischen Flüchtlingen im Libanon Workshops zur Konfliktlösung und Schulungen an. Im Libanon ist es unser Hauptziel, libanesische Start-ups, Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft und liberale politische Parteien zu unterstützen.

This prestigious event recognises exceptional contributions to liberal civil society in Africa, focusing specifically on the role of liberalism, democracy, and freedom across the continent. The 2024 Africa Freedom Prize was awarded to His Excellency President Wavel Ramkalawan of Seychelles, whose leadership in promoting democracy and freedom has set a notable example across Africa.

Outsourcing work from the Global North to the Global South via digital networks can create attractive jobs for the growing young population in Africa and other regions of the South and avoid the disadvantages that are usually associated with migration. This is the key message of a new study by the Global Partnership Hub of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, which was presented today at an international conference in Nairobi. The concept also helps European countries to combating the shortage of skilled workers that jeopardizes their economies.
