The State of Prussia was divided into 14 provinces until 1919 and into 13 provinces until 1945. All of them had their own flag. These flags – which can also be ordered on these pages – showed the respective historical national colours.

The Country of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) was formed in 1945 from the Country of Mecklenburg and remnants of the Prussian province of Pomerania. Its flag – which can also be ordered on these pages – combines the old Mecklenburg colour combinations of blue-white-red and blue-yellow-red.
