June 1, 2013 – February 22, 2015 | Adjacent to Wu Family Reception Hall (G218) | Free Exhibition In China, a beautiful piece of clothing has often been called a „gown of cloud and rainbow,“ and this phrase aptly describes the magnificent costumes and jewelry of the Miao people of China, mostly from the Guizhou/Yunnan plateau. Miao artists are famous for their embroidery skills and indigo dyeing techniques. With a collection of some 1,200 Miao textiles and 450 pieces of jewelry, the museum now presents a stunning, choice selection.
